Check in and Check Out

Parents, please take notice:
We have recently paved the main road through camp to help prevent soil erosion.  Because of this, we have lost 15 parking spots in the main camp area.  Please be prepared for possible delays, and please note that we may have to ask some parents to park in the upper parking lot.  A shuttle service will be provided though if needed.  Thank you for your understanding and patience as we try to protect camp grounds for future generations.

Camper Arrival is Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Our gates will open at exactly 3:00 p.m. so you can then begin the camper registration process. Our camp staff will help guide you to a parking spot at that time. If weather allows, the camper registration process will start at our recreation field; in the case of rain or other inclement weather, the registration process will begin in our recreation building. (If your child is participating in one of the wilderness adventure programs, he or she would register in our adventure center.)

Registration lines can be fairly long at 3:00 p.m. To avoid lines, you may want to arrive some time between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Please know that your camper and his or her belongings are not allowed in the cabins until he or she has gone through the registration process.

Medication

As part of the registration process, parents checking in medications for their child now meet directly in the health cabin with the Camp Health Officer (CHO) to discuss camper’s needs and to hand in the medications.  All medications must now be brought to camp in their original bottles or packages. In addition, all medications are now distributed throughout the week in the privacy of the health cabin.  These measures are meant to uphold and respect the privacy of our campers.

Camper Departure is Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
On Saturday morning, your child will be packing his or her belongings and eating breakfast before 9:00 a.m. You may arrive any time between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to pick up your child. Before exiting camp in your vehicle, you will be asked to sign out your child on the camper application. You will be asked to show a government issued photo ID.

Camp Store
Camp Daggett has a camp store open to parents and campers on Sundays during camper registration and Saturdays during camp departure. Clothing items such as Camp Daggett sweatshirts, t-shirts, and hats are available. We also offer water bottles, stuffed animals, postcards, novelty items, and a few healthy snacks and beverages. A gift bag with any items from our camp store can be purchased and delivered to your camper on any day during his or her session at Camp Daggett. We accept cash and checks.

Candy and Snack Policy
Snacks and drinks (excluding soda pop and candy) are now allowed in reasonable quantities. Please be advised that all snacks and drinks will be monitored by cabin counselors and staff.

Package Drop Off
If you would like to drop off a package for your camper, please place it in our tote located under our mailbox. The mailbox and tote are located directly to your right, before you would turn left to enter camp. For the safety of all our campers and staff, we ask that you do not drive into camp while it is in session. The tote will be checked daily at 11:30 a.m, and 6:30 p.m. Packages left after 6:30 p.m. will not be retrived until the following morning.

Prohibited Items
Please be aware of the list of prohibited items under our What to Pack page. This list is also on our camper application and reservation letter.
